Group Equine Racing Stables respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we use it, who it may be shared with, and the rights available to you.
1. Who we are
Group Equine Racing Stables is the controller of personal information collected through this website.
Address: Wiseton Hall Stables, Wiseton, Doncaster, DN10 5AE
Email: debs@groupequine.co.uk
Telephone: 07899 902565
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:
- your name, email address and telephone number;
- the service you are interested in and the contents of your message;
- technical information recorded for security and operation, such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps and server logs;
- security signals processed when Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether a form submission is genuine; and
- information processed by Google if you load or interact with the embedded Google Map.
We ask that you do not submit sensitive personal information through the contact form unless it is necessary for your enquiry.
3. How and why we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and discuss our services;
- take steps at your request before entering into an agreement and administer any resulting relationship;
- operate, maintain and secure the website;
- prevent spam, fraud, abuse and malicious activity; and
- meet legal, regulatory, accounting or safeguarding obligations.
Our lawful bases will normally be taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, operating our business and protecting the website. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it at any time.
4. Contact forms and email
Our contact form is provided using Contact Form 7. Information entered into the form is sent to us by email so that we can respond. A confirmation email may also be sent to the address you provide. Email is not always completely secure, so please avoid including unnecessary confidential information.
5. Cloudflare Turnstile
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on website forms to distinguish genuine visitors from automated bots and to protect the site from spam and malicious activity. Turnstile may process limited client-side security signals including your IP address, TLS fingerprint, user-agent header, the Turnstile sitekey and the website origin.
Cloudflare processes these signals on our behalf to provide website protection. Cloudflare also processes signals as a controller where necessary to improve its bot-detection capabilities. The check may use strictly necessary cookies or similar storage. We rely on our legitimate interests in keeping our website and forms secure.
Turnstile is not used by us for advertising or to make decisions about you beyond allowing or rejecting a potentially automated submission. For more information, read Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Privacy Policy.
6. Google Maps
The contact page contains an embedded Google Map. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google and Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details. If you are signed in to Google, your interaction may be associated with your Google account. Google's handling of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The website and its security or embedded services may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for operation, security and fraud prevention. Cloudflare Turnstile may use strictly necessary technologies to perform its bot check. Google Maps may use its own cookies or storage when the map is loaded. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking necessary technologies may prevent forms or embedded content from working correctly.
8. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted providers that help us host, maintain, secure or operate the website and email service, and with professional advisers or authorities where legally required. Cloudflare and Google may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom. Where required, providers use recognised safeguards for international transfers.
9. How long we keep information
We keep enquiries only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage any resulting business relationship, resolve disputes and satisfy legal or accounting requirements. Security logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to investigating abuse and maintaining the website. Retention periods may be extended where information is needed for a legal claim or required by law.
10. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to be informed, request access to your information, correct inaccurate information, request erasure or restriction, receive portable information, and object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise a right, contact debs@groupequine.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Details are available at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, website technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised update date.
